I’m the kind of person who likes to move around between hotels, hostels, and Airbnb houses while traveling. I can only have two nights of my trip and still book different places for each night. Well it has its ups and downs moments for sure. The ups would be something like a damn good bed, very friendly staff, super clean room/house, great breakfast, etc. The down would be a really bad service and untreated places.
Bali never stops to amaze me with their delicious food. A lot of new places have emerged since the last time I visited Bali, and yet there are still a lot of already-established good places that we didn’t know about.
Like this one in particular, Sate Babi Jimbaran Lama! A local pork satay (sate babi) vendor that has been running for a long time already.
How does one make a good burger?
For me, it’s all about the juicy meat patty, without any veggies on top of it. One that I can find easily now in the new burger joint in town, Flip Burger (@flipburger_id)!
It’s not that often you can say that you just eat in one of the oldest restaurant in Jakarta.
Well… I just did. 🙂
It’s called Kikugawa, and they have been known as the first japanese restaurant in Jakarta.
As my personal “holiday” period was about to end couple months ago, I took my time and went to Bandung for another road trip. Well, it’s just a one night trip tho. Basically, I just want to get out of Jakarta before my real life kicked in.
From all the places I’ve been to, there’s this one particular place that I really-really liked. It’s a small coffee shop, called Blue Doors.
“What do you wanna eat?” | “Hmmm… Street food?”
This particular one takes place next to St. Theresia Church at Menteng. If you live in Jakarta, Indonesia and you often hang out in Sarinah or Menteng areas, you might have driven or walked pass this place a few times. I, too, didn’t notice it before, until my friend brought me there a couple years back. I’ve been coming back to eat there ever since then.
I’ve been wanting to post this since… errrr…. last year. 😛 I was going through my picture files and I found this place’s photos and suddenly remembered that I haven’t written anything about it. My bad.
