NEW MUSIC: You+Me – Break The Cycle

Alecia Moore and Dallas Green… Have you heard about them before? Well… People usually know Alecia Moore as P!NK and Dallas Green as City and Colour. Ring a bell? 🙂

I, personally, love both of their music as individual. Well, everybody knows P!NK, but I guess not everyone knows City and Colour? You should check him out. Find him in Youtube or Soundcloud or iTunes. His music is something between folk acoustic and mellow tune, mostly. If you’re into folk, you’ll love his music.

Anyway… These two somehow formed a group called You+Me. Their debut album, “rose ave” will be out on October 14th. Mark the date! You can find it in iTunes but only 3 songs available for now, same thing in their youtube. Oh, and here’s a video of them talking how they decided to sing together as You+Me, and how they worked together for this album.

They also mentioned that one song is a bit upbeat, but I think mostly is folk (based on the already-released songs), such as You and Me, Capsized, and my fav–Break The Cycle.

Why Break The Cycle? I love the lyrics. Something about it connects with my stories. So yeah it’s kinda personal for me. 🙂

Well, enjoy!

Break The Cycle

Circles and cycles and seasons
For everything there’s always reason
But it’s never good
Never turns out as it should

No one ever held you
No single moment of truth
But if you were mine
I would’ve looked into those eyes
And said,

[Chorus – Dallas Green:]
Tell me the words you long to hear
And I’ll sing them loud and clear
Let me heal the wounds you’ve held on to for all these years
Break the cycle
Break the chains
‘Cause love is louder than all your pain
Than all your pain

Is it all truly broken?
Irreparable mistakes?
Let’s take our time
Don’t we have to try?

Too many missing pieces
That’s always been your reason
To justify
How you feel inside
I wish you’d say,

[Chorus – Dallas Green:]
Tell me the words you long to hear
And I’ll sing them loud and clear
Let me heal the wounds you’ve held on to for all these years
Break the cycle
Break the chains
Love is louder than all your pain
Break the cycle
Break the chains
Love is louder than all your pain
Than all your pain

Erwin.
